The Challenge
Auditz Stay Safe had an established .NET Framework application running on virtual-machine hosting. The application was proven in day-to-day use, but its hosting model made it harder to create consistent environments, manage deployments and prepare safely for the next stage of software change.
Philo Software was engaged to take over the hosting and establish a modern foundation without disrupting the existing application. The immediate goal was to move the system onto Philo-managed servers; the wider goal was to make a future software migration more practical and lower risk.
Our Solution
We containerised the .NET Framework application with Docker and moved its hosting onto Philo-managed infrastructure. This packages the application and its runtime consistently, replacing reliance on individually configured virtual machines with a repeatable deployment model.
The work focused on a careful handover: preserving the application’s existing operation while putting the hosting platform under Philo’s management. The containerised setup makes it easier to reproduce environments, apply controlled changes and support the application as it evolves.
The Outcome
Auditz Stay Safe now has a more maintainable hosting foundation for its current .NET Framework application. Dockerisation has reduced dependence on VM-specific configuration and created a clearer, repeatable path for deployments.
Most importantly, the migration creates a stable bridge to the next phase of work. The existing application can remain operational while Philo plans and delivers the wider software migration on a platform designed for future change.
Technology
The migration uses .NET Framework and Docker, with Philo-managed server infrastructure providing the hosting platform.
